Attendance in 1000-level classes is mandatory of all students.  Attendance will be taken each day at the beginning of the class, based on the quiz. If you miss a class, you must submit in writing, either a typewritten request to be excused from the class before the one you will miss, or a typewritten excuse the day following the missed class.  The excuse forms must be given to Sarah Frias-Torres during class. Your typewritten excuse must include your name, student number, and the reason for the absence.  For each unexcused absence, that day’s quiz will be counted as a zero.  Only absences sanctioned by university policy will be accepted.
