!!Under Construction!! Intended Audience: K-12, University, Teachers E-mail: duedall@fit.edu Many 9th-11th grade students currently take, or have already taken, the core science requirement chemistry, mathematics, and biology. These students have been exposed to the scientific method. Many are also taking courses in social studies where population, economic, and technology issues are discussed. The process of integrating material from the core science courses with subject material in the social sciences field can be used to examine and discuss current and future problems affecting mankind on a local as well as global basis. Students should be able to navigate the Internet from this site, on a limited basis. This would include appropriate web links for discussion in addition to research topics. Accordingly, to receive a "Good" rating for the Appropriate for 9th-11th Grade ESS criterion, the site should demonstrate integration of science and social science, provide Internet access, and require students to synthesize concepts through individual interpretation.
